TOME NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:   Tome          Best Guess for Breed:   CHI MIX   Best Guess for Age:   1 YEAR as of Sept. 2026         SEX:    male   Approximate Weight:   14 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter---needs DC area foster or forever home   Check out this video of Tome: https://youtube.com/shorts/H2-e4xbq9C0.    Tome is Looking For:    This Chihuahua mix with a striking, classic fawn coat is looking for toys, fun walks, buried blankets for his expert napping, and being right by your side!  What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update once Tomé has spent time in foster!  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
