Mochi is an independent boy who truly loves affection and would love to find a person of his own. He has been an indoor cat his entire life, but he definitely seems to have a strong desire to explore the outdoors. Mochi has struggled with stress around other animals. Although he has spent much of his life with cats and dogs and has often done well with them, there have also been encounters where he has shown aggression. His family has worked with their veterinarian and tried calming techniques, affection, treats, and calming products, but they feel the busy, multi-animal household may simply be too stressful for him. For this reason, we believe Mochi would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can have his own space and plenty of one-on-one attention. His current family loves him very much and wants to find a home where he can feel relaxed, secure, and happy. Mochi needs someone who will understand his personality, respect his boundaries, and give him the individual attention he deserves. His family wonders if access to a safe outdoor environment might also help satisfy his desire to explore, but they are unable to provide that lifestyle for him.
