Description

Hatch Date: 2023 Fancy is a beautiful blue and white female Budgie. Her previous guardian passed away and a relative took her in until he was able to surrender Fancy to our rescue. The new guardian only had her for 2 months and unfortunately was not able to provide any medical or behavioral information.  In her foster home her cage was placed in front of a window. She seems to like this location and is becoming more active and chirping frequently. Fancy also enjoys listening to a variety of music.  Fancy's foster mom is working on getting her to step up, however she is still reluctant to have contact with her so far. Fancy's ability to fly and land safely has improved significantly since arriving in her foster home.  Fancy eats a diet of pellet and seed mix. She likes to eat millet as a treat when it is hung in her cage. Fancy is not yet interested in the chopped fruit or veggies her foster mom places in her cage.  This beauty is looking for a home who is willing to patiently work with her to continue to improve her diet and build her trust interacting with people. Fancy has been disease tested for Chlamydia and PBFD. Fancy is being fostered in Berkeley Heights, NJ and will require an in-person visit before adoption.  We do not ship our birds.    For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.
