Woodmere

Description

Woodmere is a beautiful, gentle, occasionally chatty girl who was likely born over the summer of 2025. Summer 2026 found her somewhat reluctantly saddled with a large litter of kittens. When the kittens were a few days old, a basket with this cat family was unexpectedly handed to one of our volunteers in Trenton. We assume that Woodmere's human family had been kind to her (she loves attention from people) but no longer wanted her when they saw the effects of letting her outdoors. Woodmere, with some help from her foster mom (seven kittens required more milk than a 6-to-7-pound cat could produce) successfully raised her kittens and will have no more. Now Woodmere is ready for a home where she can rest without kittens jumping on her and stealing her treats to bat around the floor. She tries to play with toys but usually backs off when her kittens join in the fun, so we are pretty sure she has a playful side. She does not demand attention, but she very much enjoys hugs and pets from people.
