Percy Rohr is a spayed female Tuxedo cat, born on April 15, 2026. Percy was brought to me just shy of 3 months ago in very ill condition.  A friend picked her up in the middle of a very busy road and immediately contacted me knowing I've been a kitten foster for the last 6 years.  Percy was diagnosed with chlamydia,  mycoplasma, and calicivirus. She's undergone rounds of medication to get her healthy.  Here's the catch... her infection was severe and she has most likely suffered permanent damage to her nasal turbinate bones as a result of it.  She now sometimes has an audible breathing sound coming from her sinuses (as represented in last video).  This is quite common for kittens affected by this virus so early on.  She shows no other symptoms of any type of URI, but an adopter needs to be aware that she might be more prone to sinus issues as she ages. Likewise, because she contracted Calicivirus before being vaccinated, she might be a risk for viral shedding in the future, so an indoor home with vaccinated cats will be best. She did have quite a severe reaction to her vaccinations, so it would be worth talking to your vet about what the proper protocol would be for vaccinating throughout her life.   Percy is now about 5 months old and she deserves a loving home where her needs can be met and her medical history can be understood.  Unfortunately, my cat has not been kind at all to her.  Her kitten energy is just way too much for my chill girl. Percy definitely needs a playmate as she has spent the better part of the last 3 months alone. She's been living with my cat and small senior dog and she has been very respectful of their boundaries. She's not too keen on being picked up and held right now. Her squirmy energy always seems to get the best of her, but she absolutely loves to snuggle on her terms. Given that she has been raised thus far as a single kitten, and that she doesn’t want to be handled much, I don't think a home with small children would be appropriate unless she has a kitty playmate and the kids are very clear on the boundaries. Special needs! Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $75. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application.
