Meow meet Mew Mew! This beautiful tortoiseshell girl has been through more change than any cat should ever have to endure. She was one of a few cats who survived when her rescue burned down. After everything she lost, she was fortunate enough to have a foster home where she could begin to feel safe again. But now, she’s new to the rescue - and once again, her world has changed. She is quiet, skittish, and guarded. She doesn’t immediately know that she is safe, and she isn’t the kind of girl right now that will rush to greet you. Right now, she watches, she waits, and she takes everything in from a distance. But look into her eyes, and you can see what she cannot quite bring herself to show yet. She wants love. She wants to trust. And she wants desperately to give the love she has held deep inside for so long. Mew Mew doesn’t need someone to fix her. She needs someone who will wait for her. Someone who understands that trust is not measured in days and some of the most beautiful bonds are built slowly one step at a time. She needs a patient, gentle adopter who will let her settle in, give her space, and allow her to move at her own pace without asking more of her than she is ready to give.  There is a sweet girl behind those soulful eyes. She just needs someone who is willing to see her, even before she is ready to be seen.
