Meet Percy — Your Next Gentle Giant Big, handsome, and absolutely full of love. Meet Percy! Percy is an estimated 3- year-old big ol’ tomcat who is looking for a family to call his own. He came to Castaway Critters after being rescued from a hoarding situation , and despite everything he has been through, Percy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. This boy is incredibly friendly and sweet with people AND other cats. He genuinely just wants to be around his humans and feline friends and soak up all the love he can get.  Percy is still learning about some of the fun things that come with being a spoiled house cat. Toys, for example, are a little suspicious to him right now. He can be timid around them, but we’re working on showing him that toys aren’t scary — they’re actually meant for him to enjoy! And watching him slowly discover those things is pretty darn special. We’re unsure how Percy feels about dogs, but with a slow, proper introduction , we’d be willing to give it a try with a dog who is respectful of cats. What Percy really needs is someone who will give him the time, patience, and love to continue discovering just how wonderful life can be outside of a hoarding situation. He’s gentle. He’s affectionate. He’s good with cats. He’s sweet with people. And he’s ready for someone to finally tell him: “Percy, buddy… you’re home.” Percy has been neutered(or spayed), is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, litter trained and is negative for FIV/FeLV.
