Sophie (wants to be your kitty companion)

Meet Sophie!  This gentle lady was born in August 2019 and came to LCCR after her owner’s health declined.  She at first wasn’t too sure of her new foster home, but she adjusted to new beds and windowsills and realized the sun beams were the same ones she enjoyed at her old home.  Now all Sophie is looking for is a permanent home where she can lounge all day in sofa corners or up against your legs.  She is pretty low energy but that doesn’t stop her from following you around the house to see what trouble you might get into.  While she isn’t a lap kitty, she enjoys being around people and is quite affectionate with her head butts and leg rubs.  She enjoys feather wand toys, hair ties, and plastic springs!  She doesn’t need a lot of room to be happy, so apartment living is just fine.  In a bigger home, she will seek you out for company regardless!  Occasionally she enjoys throwing her foster parents for a loop and decides to nap in some new place she has discovered, disappearing for hours at a time.  She got along well with the resident dog in a previous foster home.  But she was previously routinely attacked by her sister in her original home, and she’s got some PTSD from that, so she wants to be the only kitty.  Sophie has beautiful, all-knowing green eyes, and a beautiful coat.  Sophie will make a great companion for a single person who wants love and attention, or she would be good for an easy going family with older kids who will treat her gently. Sophie is currently living in a foster home outside Reading, but she can take trips to the Harrisburg area on the weekends. Sophie's adoption donation is $75, which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
