PEE-WEE IS READY FOR HIS PERSON! At just 10 months old , Pee-Wee certainly didn’t expect to find himself homeless and in rescue. This sweet boy was surrendered after it became clear that he wasn’t comfortable living with the family’s larger dog. Now we’re helping one of our rescue partners near the Kentucky/Indiana border outside Evansville find Pee-Wee the home he deserves. Pee-Wee’s breed mix was reported by his previous family and seems fairly accurate, although no DNA testing has been done . But whatever his DNA says, we know the important part: Pee-Wee is a phenomenal little dog. ❤️ He’s looking for someone who wants more than a dog sitting quietly in the corner. Pee-Wee wants a person . Someone with time for him. Someone who wants a companion to ride along, go places, explore, play, and simply be part of everyday life. We think he could make an amazing little traveling buddy for the right person. Like many adolescent dogs, Pee-Wee can sometimes hump when he becomes nervous or overstimulated. It’s something that can be redirected while he gains confidence and learns what is expected of him. At only 10 months old, he’s still very much a youngster figuring out the world. Most importantly, Pee-Wee needs someone who isn’t searching for perfection. He needs someone willing to give him the same thing we ask adopters to give our rescue cats: patience, stability, commitment and unconditional love. He’s already lost the only home he knew once. We want his next home to be the one he never has to leave. ❤️ Pee-Wee is fully vetted , and his adoption fee is $350 . His rescue helps many cats as well as dogs that are older, medically needy or otherwise difficult to place. Adoption fees from fully vetted, highly adoptable animals like Pee-Wee help them continue caring for those animals whose expenses often far exceed their adoption fees.
