This grumpy girl wants someone to love but doesn’t know how to go about it. Bea is a tiny ticked tabby with a personality that fills up the room. This can be good or bad! Sometimes she will come jump on you and snuggle into your chest. Sometimes she will swat at you for walking too close to her. Bea came to us with a recently healed broken tail and leg. She has a reason to be defensive, even if we hope she will learn to feel safe. Touching her the wrong way hurts and scares her. Let her come to you, and don’t trap her, and she can be incredibly affectionate. Just don’t push your luck! It’s been said that cats teach us about consent. Bea has boundaries that don’t always make sense to others, but she is clear about them if you pay attention. Bea will hopefully relax and become more trusting as she gets to know a patient human and a safe territory.  Bea is a tiny ticked tabby, both in terms of colorpattern and temperament. If you pet her, walk near her, or even look at her, she may growl. She gets mad at other cats who are near her. To be fair, Bea is a tiny little lady who has spent too much of the last year limping due to complications after breaking one of her front legs. She has finally recovered from her last surgery and can get around fine, but pretty much everyone of every species sets her off. On the other hand, Bea is a sweet snuggler who will climb you to tuck her head under your chin, headbutt your hand to demonstrate how she wants you to pet her, and happily drape herself over your shoulders. But! She decides what is acceptable and when she is done. Bea pets you! You pet back only under her explicit direction. You had better get it exactly right, or she will growl and maybe jump down. She loves getting treats and rolling around in catnip.  Bea needs a home of her own with no other animals, no small children, and a calm understanding human who will let Bea set the terms of interaction. So if you are up for a somewhat abusive relationship with a 5 pound diva of the feline purrsuasion than Bea might just be your next best friend! Just so long as you measure up to her high expectations and standards.     Bea was born June of 2022 . She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
