***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** This silly, cross eyed, goofball is Memphis!  Memphis has had some stuff happen in his life and he is ready to put all of that in his past.  We know he was an adored pup that went everywhere and did all the things dogs love to do but then one day his life took a turn and he found himself locked in a kennel in the back yard with nothing to do and no one to hang out with.  He broke out of that jail and got picked up by the doggie police and tossed into doggie jail but that decision is actually the best one he had ever made because once he landed in the clink the kind humans knew something was very off and Memphis needed help.  His condition was poor, he was thin, his fur coat was ragged and patchy, he had sores all over and just generally not in great shape.  After some investigative work PD tracked down his owner and found out he had been suffering from some health issues himself.  Memphis sadly had become an after thought.  Neighbors then reached out to us to give us the full picture of what Memphis's life had been like lately and we had his owner surrender him to the shelter.  Now Memphis is happy, full of energy, spunky and looking really good.  He loves his toys very much and wants to carry them around with him and show them off to anyone who agrees that they are very special indeed!  Memphis would love a home where he can be shown the love and affection he had been accustomed to when he was a younger dog. At 7 years old he is looking for someone that wants to go on walks, car rides and then hang out on the couch and watch whatever you want on tv while he snores his little heart out.  Memphis is a vocal dog when he gets excited so apartment life might not be the best choice for him but all in all he's just a very good boy.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $250.00
