ARIA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Aria          Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd/Terrier    Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of Sept. 2026          SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 25lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: Puerto Rico Shelter--needs DC area foster or forever home   Special adoption considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- Aria would do better with another dog in the home to give her confidence.   Aria is Looking For:  Her forever home! Aria is coming to the DC area all the way from Puerto Rico, where she likely lived a pretty quiet life. Because of this, she would love a forever home that either has another dog to help show her the ropes in busier areas or an adopter who is committed to making sure she gets lots of opportunities to play with other pups. She'd also like to request snuggles and treats, please. What My Foster Says About Me:  Coming soon!
