Bella (A139822) is a 1-year-11-month-old rottie mix who weighed over 60 lbs at intake!09/12/26 Miss Bella, previously known as Estrella, was reluctantly brought back to the shelter because her most recent family did not feel they could continue providing her with the level of attention that she deserves. Bella was said to do great with kids, strangers, and other dogs. We still encourage slow and controlled introductions. Bella was also said to ride well in the car and to generally mind well. She has been known to dig, chew and jump on people, so she needs some help with her manners. It was noted that Bella has a lot of energy. It will be important to provide her with plenty of mental and physical enrichment and appropriate chew toys to help channel her less desirable habits. Bella was also said to be kennel trained and housebroken. She will whine in the kennel if she can hear someone home while she is in, however. Bella was said to be gentle when playing and was described as outgoing, friendly and affectioante. Estrella was brought to the shelter due to no fault of her but rather changes in the home that did not lend themselves to including a dog. Miss Estrella was said to be kennel trained and to be mostly housebroken. She may still need some reminders, especially as she adjusts to a new routine. Estrella can be shy with strangers, but she is quite affectionate when she warms up! She was said to get along with other dogs, but she will chase cats. It would be best for her to go to a home without kitties. She has been known to chew, so make sure you are providing her with plenty of appropriate chew toys and enrichment. She does love to give hugs, so keep this in mind if you have members of your household that do not like dogs jumping up. Estrella is still a very young dog with a lot of energy, so she is looking for a home that will provide her with plenty of mental and physical enrichment.
