Meet Mustard, the little black tiger kitten! This kitten arrived to the Shelter with his two brothers Relish & Ketchup after a good Samaritan found them in a box at Pinto Lake in Watsonville. Mustard is an outgoing, playful kitten who is ready to pounce into his adoptive home. He really enjoys playing with wand-style toys. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. To keep Mustard safe, as well as our local wildlife, an indoor only home is required moving forward.Mustard is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery. Mustard’s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund – a fund that draws adopter’s eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
