We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups. Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete. When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Meet Kona! ​Breed: Shepherd Mix ​Age: 5 years old ​Personality: Sweet, resilient, and playful! ​About Kona: Kona is a sweet, resilient Shepherd mix with the most charming, expressive ears you'll ever see! Diagnosed with spina bifida as a puppy, she has slightly wonky back legs, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying life. She gets around just fine with light, regular exercise to keep her leg muscles strong. Short play sessions and easy strolls are her sweet spot—no long, strenuous walks for this girl, as her legs can get sore. ​Social Life & Compatibility: ​Dogs: Loves to play! She just needs a little time to warm up to new canine friends. She thrives best with playful companions and prefers a home without dominant dogs. ​Cats & Kids: She is wonderful with both cats and children! ​Ideal Home: Kona would do best in a home with a fenced backyard for safe, light playtime and a setup without a lot of stairs to keep her comfortable and mobile. ​If you are looking for a gentle, loving companion who will steal your heart, Kona is ready to meet you! Kona's adoption fee is $400 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required.
