Description
Birthday: January 25, 2023 Miss Nan, as her foster calls her, is a classy tabby girl with a spirited personality. She is independent, but in the weeks that she has been with her foster, she has gone from observing her from a distance to laying on the desk next to her. She especially likes to watch "cat entertainment" videos on YouTube. She is now trusting enough to sleep peacefully on the desk and assertive enough to let people know when some well-deserved petting is needed. She sits on the desk and puts her paw on your chest to ask for pets and will tentatively head butt your forehead to show her trust and affection. She will allow you to pick her up, though she doesn't quite trust that nothing scary will come of it. She quickly wants to be put down to be her own boss again. She pretends to be reserved until you're not looking, and then she plays with the abandon of a toddler on a sugar overload. She loves her kick toy and furry ball, and both would go with her upon adoption. She throws them, carries them like kittens, and somersaults to keep them from escaping. Most of her antics are caught on a motion-activated camera either because she hasn't quite determined if anyone is worthy to see her best acrobatics or trying to maintain her facade of dignity. She can be a bit bossy with a less assertive playmate, so she would do best as either an only cat or in a home with a self-assured cat that won't let her push them around. She has gone toe-to-toe with our 60 pound, very gentle dog and did not retreat an inch. (No skirmishes, just warnings that she needed her personal space which our dog respected.) She is willing to eat any foods given to her but is especially fond of treat tubes (i.e. Churru) and uses her litter box like a proper lady. Nan's adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
