Description
Meet Doug!Doug is a one year old Long Haired Dachshund mix weighing in at about 15 pounds. He's a happy and affectionate guy after he builds trust. He likes other dogs although he's still learning how to read their cues. He is curious about the cat that lives downstairs. He mostly potties outside, but he does pee inside sometimes. He's a baby and he's working on it. He is crated while his foster mom is at work and does fine. Doug does like to chew on things he shouldn't (hello, puppy!) so he should have toys and proper chew items for him to pick from in his forever home. He is also a door dasher, so a calm, low-traffic home would be best for him. Kids make Doug nervous, but older, dog-savvy kids would be fine for him. Doug can also be an escape artist, so a secure yard is a must for him. He will also need regular grooming to keep his locks mat-free. He really is the sweetest boy!Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Doug's adoption fee is $200.
