Olive

Description

Olive may be one of many black kitties looking for a home, but there is only one Olive. So do not let the shiny black coat fool you; this little girl is full of personality, sweetness, and fun. Olive may be slightly cautious when she first meets you, but give her a little time, and she quickly warms up. Once Olive is comfortable with you, her gentle, affectionate nature shines through.  Olive is gaining in confidence day-by-day. She is a true little lady who enjoys being with people, loves to cuddle on your lap, and enjoys being picked up. From your lap, she will look up at you and gently paw your nose as if to say hello. And then there is Olive’s adorable tiny kinked tail tip, which she happily shakes when she comes running over. It is her way of greeting you and saying, “I am glad you are here.” Olive loves climbing on her kitty city and is content to play in her kitten room. She can be a bit of a whirling dervish at playtime, as there is a lot of kitten energy to burn, but it is so much fun to watch her antics. Olive is simply a joy to have around.  Olive is very interested in our older cats, but she is wonderfully respectful of their space. She would do best in a calm, patient household with children ages 12+. Olive needs to be adopted with another friendly cat companion or go to a home with an existing cat companion. She may be accepting of a small dog if introduced properly. She may be a black kitten in a sea of black kittens, but Olive is one-of-a-kind. We estimate Olive was born May 20, 2026.
