Description

Wisha—a young, long-haired beauty—is sweet, chatty, playful, and affectionate. She loves adventure, is very outgoing, and exudes a positive energy that is contagious. Most of all, Wisha is everything her name represents.Hailing from Ireland, the name “Wisha” (wee-sha) is an old-school interjection used to express surprise or excitement. It was originally a euphemism for “A Mhuire!” ("O Mary!") in calling upon the Virgin Mary. The word carries a rustic, folksy feel, and helps to break tension when reacting to a moment or sharing information. Wisha’s personality easily gels with her name’s origin. She was nothing short of a surprise when she showed up outside of an office building parking lot as a skinny stray cat! A couple of months later, Wisha continues to live up to her name; her vivacious energy when she chases her toys, her chatty nature when she talks to her humans, and her silly and unexpected antics certainly ease tension while keeping you on your toes.Meanwhile, Wisha (wish-a) also means “hope” in Sanskrit, which is equally fitting: she was skinny, injured, and desperate when she was found, but in just a few weeks, she became healthy, clean, and ready for fun. That’s a character arc that captures “hope” pretty well!Wisha is intensely (and hilariously) playful, enjoying ripping around at full speed in pursuit of her “prey” on wand toys. She would do best in a single-cat household with an active family who can give her lots of attention, excitement, and enrichment. She loves all people and is very gentle with humans…including little humans! If you’re looking for an unexpected surprise (or perhaps a burst of hope), why not bring Wisha into your family?
