GAZPACHO*

Description

Meet Gazpacho, the gray and white kitty! Gazpacho came to the Shelter as a stray so we don’t know about his life before the Shelter. We are guessing he is around 1 year old. When Gazpacho arrived to the Shelter, he had a wound on the right side of his neck. We suspect this was from a ruptured cat abscess. He is being treated with antibiotics and topical wound care and the wound is healing appropriately. Now that he is feeling a whole lot better, Gazpacho is ready to meet his new family. He can be a bit shy at first but enjoys being pet and gives strong head butts. He has been very good for his medical treatments. Gazpacho would likely appreciate a safe indoor home after his experience outside. A catio space in his next home may be a good middle ground to give him the enrichment of the outdoors, but in a more safe manner. Gazpacho may do well in a home with other animals with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
