WATCH MY VIDEO...Meiko is a handsome 2-year-old cat whose world changed when his family could no longer afford to care for him. It is always heartbreaking when circumstances force a family to say goodbye to a beloved pet, especially when that pet has done absolutely nothing wrong. His family told us that Meiko is wonderful with adults and older children. He has never lived with other animals, so we do not know yet how he feels about cats or dogs. What we do know is that Meiko enjoys the good things in life: playing with toys, cuddling, getting lots of pets and, of course, treats. His favorite? Churu! Now that is one way to win this boy's heart. Meiko has a bit of an independent side, too. He may not need to be attached to your hip every moment of the day, but when he is ready for attention, he will come to you for pets and loving rubs. He is very friendly and especially enjoys rolling around while being petted. Right now, Meiko can be cautious and easily startled by the unfamiliar sounds around him, but even being scared, he remains a sweetheart. Meiko has shown that he is a sweet boy who can be picked up and handled. We believe Meiko would blossom in a quiet, loving home where he can take a deep breath, relax and realize that he is safe again. With patience, treats, toys and plenty of affection, this wonderful boy could soon be rolling around for pets and enjoying life with his new family. Meiko has already lost one home through no fault of his own. Now we hope his next home will be the one where he can finally settle in, feel secure and know that he is loved forever.
