Description

Squirrel is a wonderful 2-year-old mixed-breed boy who weighs 18 pounds, and he's truly a diamond in the rough!  He may be a little shy and timid when you first meet him, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet, loving personality starts to shine. Squirrel was fostered for a short time before his transport, and his foster family has nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Squirrel is crate trained and is quiet as a mouse when he's in his crate. He greets other dogs politely and was exemplary around both dogs and cats while in foster care. He walks nicely on leash and has no issues going potty while leashed. He also travels wonderfully in the car, whether crated or tethered. Squirrel absolutely adored his foster families 8-year-old son, too!  With a little patience, kindness, and time to feel comfortable, Squirrel is sure to blossom into an amazing companion. He's sweet, well-mannered, loving, and just waiting for someone to give him the chance to come out of his shell and show them what a special boy he really is. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
