TINKER NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Tinker     Best Guess for Breed:  Lab mix  Best Guess for Age:  8 months as of August 2026         SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:   39.6 lbs as of 9/19/26 - she is still growing!   Gets Along With:  Other dogs and would love to have a four-legged, fury sibling! We've tested her with cats in a shelter setting and she did great! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Special Adoption Considerations: We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Currently Living at:   DC area foster homeTinker is Looking For:  Her forever home! This cutie wants nothing more than to have her own humans for sniffy walks and romps in parks and all the adventures they can dream up - she's not long out of puppyhood and has all that awesome young-dog energy! (Shelter staff say she is a little shy but gaining confidence every day and walks very well on leash!) From Tink herself: "I don't prefer to be the center of attention but I looooove when all my friends are together and we play in playgroup!"What My Foster Says About Me:   Tinker loves other dogs! She is a bit hesitant at first around new people but opens up once she trusts you. She is happiest when I use my calm, patient, and happy voice and let her come to me and then leans in for pets. She is so sweet! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
