CYNTHIA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name: Cynthia       Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd and terrier mix     Best Guess for Age:  2.5 years as of March 2026        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  44 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Watch this video of Cynthia as she shows off her moves after recovering from hip surgery!     Special Adoption Considerations:  Cynthia had a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) on her right hind limb on April 24 to provide relieve from arthritis built up after an old break.  She will start her physical therapy in mid-May, and would love an adopter who can help her re-gain her strength.  Please reach out to her adoption coordinator (email at the bottom) if you have questions!      Cynthia is Looking For:  Cynthia hasn't had the awesomest life. But she was an awesome, amazing mama to her babies Collin and Cyan and she will never have to have another litter. Collin and Cyan went off to get their own homes and now it's Cynthia's turn to seek her own humans.    Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed. Sniffy walkies. Pup and people pals. Chew toys. All those are on her wish list. But right at the top? She wants nothing more than to know where she belongs, to love and be loved. She has so much loyalty, so much love to offer. Will you be the lucky recipient? Are you her fresh start and her happily ever after? What My Foster Says About Me:  She is a very sweet, gentle soul with eyes that will melt your heart. She his happy to snooze with you after she's had a good walk, which she loves!   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
