Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:Louie recently went on a 2.5-day weekend sleepover and he did very well! This fun-loving boy brings plenty of puppy energy to the table and lives for games of ball and tug-of-war. Because he is currently navigating a chewing phase, durable Kong toys are his absolute favorite. Louie thoroughly enjoyed having a fenced-in backyard where he could freely run his zoomies and explore. While he had one minor excitement-pee accident right when he first arrived, he had no other accidents and successfully demonstrated that he is house-trained. When it comes to relaxing, Louie loves being a close companion. Once allowed on the couch and bed, he was completely calm and slept for 8 hours uninterrupted at the foot of the bed. He is also a polite boy out in public; during a leash trip to a hardware store, Louie did excellent in the new environment, wagging his tail and calmly greeting strangers while accepting treats from them. He is still working on his manners and will need an adopter who can support him in learning basic commands like `sit` and `stay,` but he's young and eager to keep learning.
