She is a shy girl at first, but once she warms up to you, she’s your friend for life and will follow you all over the house and yard. Roxie is a bit of a picky eater but may have been fed table food, which is why she’s not crazy about dog food. Roxie is great with other dogs, male and female, but we do not know about cats. So it is best not to try to adopt her if you have a cat. She has been accustomed to her previous owner being home all the time, so she may have to adjust if you work out of the home. It would help having another small, young dog for her to hang with. Our must-haves for pretty Miss Roxie are: A fenced yard Another young small dog Someone who can be home more often than not No apartments, high-rises, or condos If you think Roxie would be a good fit for your home and you meet our requirements, please apply to adopt her. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
