Description
UP & COMING!!! Hi, I'm Duke! I was born on May 25th, one of six puppies in my litter. I don't remember much from those early days, except that nobody was really watching out for us. My brothers, sisters, and I kept wandering into the road — it was scary, and dangerous, and we didn't know any better. Some kind neighborhood kids started keeping an eye on us, making sure we stayed safe. And then one day, a neighbor with a good heart took all of us in. I don't know where I'd be without that kindness. A lot has changed since then. My brother Boscoe found his forever family not long ago — and I couldn't be happier for him, truly — but it also meant something shifted in our little puppy pack. Someone had to step up. Turns out, that someone was me. I've become the leader around here, and I love it more than I ever expected to. I keep an eye on the pups still waiting for their families, I'm the first one investigating anything new and interesting, and when there's playing to be done, I'm the one who gets it started. Being in charge suits me. Who knew? I'm smart, I catch on quick, and I'm already almost housebroken — I'm working hard to be a good boy. But more than anything, I just love being petted and getting attention. It makes my whole world feel right, and honestly, being a leader is a lot more fun when I've got someone in my corner cheering me on. I didn't get the easiest start. But I'm still just a little guy full of hope, and now I'm also a leader with a whole lot of love to give and share. I've watched my brother get his happy ending, and now it's my turn — I just need someone to give me the chance. If you've got room in your home, and your heart, for a leader of a pup who's ready to give you everything he's got, I'd love to meet you. I promise I'm worth it.
