JULIET NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Juliet and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (9/6) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)!   Name:   Juliet         Best Guess for Breed:  Australian cattle dog (blue heeler) mix   Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of June 2026       SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  30 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area boarding facility.   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure they can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Juliet is Looking For:  If you think this pup is calling "Romeo! Romeo, wherefore are thou?!" - you are way off base. This young sato - a dog from Puerto Rico - couldn't possibly care less about Veronese drama. She's just eager to get her own humans in the DC area for sniffy walks and romps and world exploration! Making pup pals along the way would be great, and she'd like to go to dog school, too, so she can show how super smart she is.    Most of all, though, she wants to know where she belongs, to be safe and loved. What My Foster Says About Me:   Meet Juliet – Your Adventure Buddy and Professional Cuddle-Bug!   Juliet is a friendly, affectionate, and incredibly smart girl who is looking for a family to bathe her in all the love and attention she so rightly deserves. If you love an affectionate dog, Juliet is your girl! She absolutely loves cuddles and will happily offer up her belly for rubs and her ears for scritches. She is very people-oriented, loves interacting with her humans, and is eager to please. She is also learning to be very obedient and picks things up quickly—she's one very smart pup!   Juliet has a big personality and has a permanent adorably goofy smile on her face. She makes us laugh all day every day. She enjoys everything from tug-of-war and fetching balls to chasing her dog friends at the park.   In classic heeler fashion, Juliet is a natural-born athlete packed into a space-saving package! She would make a fantastic companion for long walks, hikes, trips to the dog park, or just about any adventure you have planned. Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy or someone to join you for a neighborhood stroll, Juliet is ready to go!   Juliet has also been introduced to babies and toddlers, and she was absolutely wonderful with them. She was loving, gentle, and happy to be around little ones, even rolling over belly-up to soak up all the attention and pets.
