Description

CHAR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!       Name:    Char        Best Guess for Breed:    Domestic Short Hair    Best Guess for Age: 5 months as of 9/27/26    Est. DOB: 4/27/26     SEX:    Male  Approximate Weight:    2 lbs as of 06/24/26 Coloring: Black Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With:    Because of his young age, Char will likely get along with other cats, dogs and kids with an acclimation period.  We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!  Currently Living at:  Foster home in the DC area! I am Looking For: Hi, I'm Char, and I've got a feeling my forever family is out there somewhere. I'm a sweet little guy with a whole lot of love to give, and all I need is a warm home, a cozy spot to curl up, and someone to call my own. If you're open to doubling the fun, my brother Coal is looking for his forever home, too. Two kittens, twice the love!   Litter:    Char and Coal What My Foster Says About Me: Coal and Char are the best kittens!  Coal is a little love bug, loves to cuddle on my lap while I'm working.  He'll snuggle into your hand just like a dog and flop on you when he can.  Char also loves people but doesn't seek out my lap as often, however, he does like to cuddle when he decides he's tired. They are both playful kittens, anything that moves is a potential toy.  They seem to get along well with my older cats, mostly just leave them alone (as that's what the resident cats prefer).  Since they are kittens, they do need reminders about boundaries and rules. They use the litter box perfectly!  They can play on their own but also like to play with their people.  They are the perfect companions!9/8 (new foster): Char is a sleek, all-black four-month-old kitten who is playful, inquisitive, sweet—and has a few things to say! Look at him and meow, and there’s a very good chance he’ll meow right back. He loves wrestling and racing with his brother, exploring everything, and being the first one in the window to see what’s happening outside. Char purrs easily and enjoys affection, but right now he’s more interested in being around his people than sitting in their laps. When the adventures are over, he happily finds a cozy bed nearby and settles in. He’s a funny, curious little panther who likes his people, his independence, and a good conversation.10/6 (update): Call “Come on, babies!” and there’s a very good chance Char will come running! This handsome black kitten has blossomed into an incredibly affectionate little guy who loves his people, follows them from room to room, cuddles in bed, and starts purring almost the moment you touch him. He’s wonderfully tolerant of handling and will even relax in your arms like a baby.   Char is also playful, funny, curious, and exceptionally social. He lives beautifully with other cats and recently had a wonderful introduction to a calm, well-trained dog—even walking right up for a nose-to-nose hello! He and his brother Cole are not bonded and can be adopted separately, but they make a hilarious, affectionate little team, so adopting them together would be a wonderful option.   Char has become an extraordinary little companion. If you want a sweet, social kitten who genuinely wants to share his life with his person, this little panther is ready to come running.   Kitten Vetting Requirements : Your kitten may not be fully vaccinated upon adoption.  You will be responsible for providing whatever remaining vaccines are needed to complete the kitten vaccine series. Due to this kitten’s young age, he has not yet been neutered.  As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than 10/27/26. There are     NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A nonrefundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be altered at one of our low-cost partner vets. TO ADOPT:   The adoption fee for this kitten is $220 ($380 for two cats or kittens adopted together), which includes the cost of routine vetting.
