Description

Tom is a male cat who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR). During his evaluation, he was noted to have sustained head trauma. This type of injury can be serious and may involve swelling, neurological symptoms, or other complications that require close monitoring and specialized veterinary care.This level of care and ongoing monitoring exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Tom remains gentle and is doing his best while receiving supportive care.Tom needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive further veterinary evaluation, supportive treatment, and a low-stress environment to aid in his recovery.This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.If you are interested in helping, please email dasadopt@dallas.gov with your contact information so we can call you back.
