Hi! I’m Spatula and before you scroll past me because of my 72 pound resume… just know that size definitely does NOT mean I’m too big to be a lap dog. I will happily squeeze myself onto your lap and somehow convince you that I fit perfectly. I am the happiest boy you will ever meet! My favorite thing in the whole world is being with my people.When I meet someone, I get so excited that I love to “talk” to them, which can make me seem like a super loud dog at first. But don’t worry, that’s just my enthusiastic way of saying, “HI! I’M SO HAPPY TO MEET YOU!” I’m basically up for anything if my humans are involved. Want to play with toys? I’m in! Want to play my favorite game ever CHASE?! Say less! Want to go for a car ride, walk, or run? LET’S GO! I’m still working on my leash manners, but I’m learning! And treats? Ohhhh yes. I already know sit, lay down, and shake, and I’m always happy to show off my skills for a snack. But if you really want to see me light up, bring on the WATER! Pool? LOVE IT. Lake? OBSESSED. Sprinklers? YES. Hose? ABSOLUTELY. If there is water involved, you can count me in! As for other dogs, I’m more of a “we can be roommates, but you don’t have to be my wrestling buddy” kind of guy.  I’ve met dogs of different sizes and ages and can easily coexist with them, but I don’t quite understand the whole play wrestling thing. I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing alongside another dog or, if you’d rather have me all to yourself, I’d be just as happy being your one and only! I’m also fully potty trained and can be trusted loose in the house while my humans are away. I’m such a good boy! My dream family is someone who wants a dog they can take on adventures, play with, and then come home and cuddle on the couch with. I want to experience all the fun life has to offer, but at the end of the day, I mostly just want to be wherever my people are.
