URGENT FOSTER NEED!  Sable has done great with his fosters but will need new fosters starting December. CAN YOU HELP???Meet Sable (aka Hershey because if his chocolate brown coloring!) ! This 2-year-old, 70-pound chocolate Lab mix is a big, goofy, affectionate guy who absolutely loves his people. (Check out his hilarious video!)  His foster says he could just as easily have been called Shadow or Velcro because wherever you are, Sable would like to be there too.  A few things we love about Sable: He's a total people dog. Sable loves being near his person and will happily follow you from room to room. Working in the garden? He's right there. Sitting at the kitchen table? He's figured out how to put his head on your feet. Belly rubs are also very much appreciated. He's wonderful at home. Sable is housebroken, sleeps quietly through the night, is polite and attentive, and learns quickly. He knows “sit” and “down” and is working on “stay.” He's a good adventure buddy. Sable travels well in the car and is an energetic young Lab who enjoys walks, play, and plenty of exercise.  He would do best in a home with a fenced yard. He's working on his leash manners. Sable can become very excited when he sees another dog and may bark, jump, and pull. At 70 pounds, he needs a strong, confident handler who can safely manage him and is committed to continuing his training. His foster is working with a trainer, and he's making progress. Once introduced appropriately, Sable has shown friendly, playful behavior with other dogs.  He has done play dates but is dog selective - some he loves, others not so much.Sable is looking for an experienced adopter who can give him the exercise, structure, and training he needs.
