Description
Animal Profile: Frankie is a 35-pound, 2-year-old Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd, and Terrier mix whose genetics run true. This smart, athletic girl lives for a game of fetch and has the energy and enthusiasm to keep up on hikes, runs, and all of life's adventures. Frankie has spent the past 6 months working with Gina at Double Down Dog Training, where she has lived and learned alongside a pack environment. She gets along great with dogs of all ages and sizes, and blends right in with dogs coming and going for training. Frankie is ready to find a home that understands and appreciates the unique qualities of herding breeds. Playful, attentive, and highly pack and toy-motivated, Frankie loves having a job to do and thrives when given both mental and physical outlets. She enjoys being with her people and forming strong bonds, but she isn't a dog who craves constant affection. In fact, excessive attention can make her a bit uncomfortable. Frankie prefers relationships built on trust, activity, and shared experiences. She loves her flirt pole, and playing fetch with obedience in the mix. Foster Update: Frankie's ideal home would be an active adult household with previous herding-breed experience. She would love owners who enjoy training, outdoor activities, and engaging with a dog that is both intelligent and driven. Frankie is house-trained, crate-trained, and rides well in the car, making her an easy companion for everyday life and weekend adventures alike. If you're looking for a loyal, athletic partner who is ready to join you for work on your property, out on the trail, at the beach, or anywhere a ball can be thrown, Frankie may be the perfect match. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration.
