❤️Hildie Update: Getting to Know Her Even Better!Hildie is a gentle, affectionate girl with a soft heart and a sweet spirit. She's made wonderful progress in foster care, and a recent change in her routine has shown us even more of what a lovely companion she can be! Hildie has been a resident at her foster mom's dog daycare and training facility but is currently spending time in her foster mom's home. And what a wonderful houseguest she's turning out to be! She's quiet, calm, and beautifully behaved indoors. She gets along wonderfully with the resident dogs, shows little interest in the outdoor cat, and settles nicely at bedtime. She's slept peacefully both on the bedroom floor and in her crate. Hildie is friendly with people, rides well in the car, and is excellent for baths and grooming. She's also very treat-motivated, although she's still learning to take treats a little more gently! This sweet girl has made tremendous progress, but she can still be uncertain when having her collar or leash put on or taken off. She'll benefit from a patient adopter who uses positive reinforcement and allows her to build confidence at her own pace. At the daycare, Hildie sometimes reacts to gates and doorways, particularly when the other dogs are excited about coming and going. Interestingly, she hasn't shown those behaviors in her foster mom's home, where she's been noticeably calmer and more relaxed. ❤️ Hildie has shown her foster mom that she can be a calm, well-mannered companion who fits beautifully into home life! With patience, understanding, and a little guidance, this sweet girl has so much potential to be a wonderful family companion. Fostered in Plymouth, IN.
