Hi! I’m Nikolai! I’m a sweet, lovable Shepherd/Husky mix looking for a patient family to call my own. I might be a little shy when we first meet, but give me a little time to warm up, and you’ll discover what a happy, goofy, and loving boy I really am! Once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal best friend and love being close to my favorite people.  I’m both house-trained and crate-trained at my foster home! Moving to a new place can make me a little nervous, so I might need some extra patience with potty training while I adjust. A consistent routine and a little encouragement go a long way in helping me feel comfortable. Loud noises can be scary for me, and walking on a leash is still something I’m working on. I’m trying my best, though, and with patience and positive encouragement, I’m making progress! I would love a family that understands I need some time to build my confidence. I’ve met kids and cats, but I haven’t had enough experience with them to know exactly how comfortable I’ll be. Because I can be shy, older kids who understand boundaries and give me space to warm up would be the best fit. Once I’m feeling comfortable, my playful side comes out! I love playing outside, chasing balls, and snuggling up on a nice, fluffy bed. I also know my basic commands and want to be a good boy for my people. I’m looking for a family who will see past my shyness and give me the time I need to shine. In return, I promise to give you so much love, loyalty, and plenty of goofy moments once I come out of my shell!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
