Salem

Description

Salem is a sweetheart that is great with all dogs, big or small.  He is experienced with kids and loves his people fiercly.  Sadly, he is being rehomed due to no fault of his own as his family is moving and cannot take him. This is a tragedy for Salem -- he came to the rescue as a puppy after being **thrown out of a car** at a gas station in Wilson, NC.  He was very sick and had to have extended treatment at the rescue's expense.   We hope his next home will be his final stop and once you meet him, we are confident you will want to love him forever.  He’s a very sweet, playful pup that loves to snuggle and playing outside or with his siblings almost as much as he adores belly rubs.  He’s crate and house trained, up to date on vaccines and has been neutered. Does great with all kids and dogs. He doesn’t seem to mind the neighborhood cats but has never had any one on one interaction with them. Salem will play fetch with a tennis ball for hours! He does well in the car, gets a little anxious (pants) but is calm, still and loving the whole time. He will sit on command and will wait patiently for a treat.
