The two ended up in an overcrowded shelter where time and hope were quickly running out. Thankfully, one of our rescue partners stepped in just in time and found a local foster to bring them to safety.Not long after arriving in foster care, heartbreaking news came about KitKat — she has a terminal condition and her time with us will be far too short. Now, as Buck prepares for the next chapter of his life, we want to make sure it’s one filled with stability, kindness, and love.Buck is a young, happy-go-lucky dog who wants nothing more than companionship and a place to belong. At his core, Buck is a friendly, joyful pup who absolutely thrives around other dogs. Having a canine sibling (or two!) in his forever home would mean the world to him. He's happiest when he gets to romp around and then chill with his canine companions. And he is wonderfully submissive around other dogs, which makes it easy to win new friends over. Buck loves a good game of fetch and is especially obsessed with balls. When playtime is over, you’ll often find him stretched out in a sunny spot, happily soaking up the warmth.Buck isn’t asking for much—just a patient family, a dog friend to share life with, and a safe home where he can finally leave his difficult past behind.
