Meet Chickpea! Chickpea is one of many bean-themed kittens who are up for adoption. Chickpea recently came back from a foster home who reports: `She is the adventurer of the group - first to explore, first to interact with humans. She has a beautiful shiny coat, and like her personality, is just full of spark. Also has no qualms being vocal if she wants to speak her mind.` Chickpea would do well in a variety of homes. Any resident animals should be introduced in a slow, thoughtful manner. To keep Chickpea, and our local wildlife safe, she should be indoors only moving forward.Chickpea is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
