Meet Echo! Echo is a 8-week-old female short-haired kitten who had a pretty scary start to life. She and her two siblings were originally found outside by a family who took them in but quickly realized they were not prepared to take on the care of three kittens. Wanting them to have the best chance at finding safe, loving homes, they surrendered all three to Rockwall Adoptions. Echo came to us frightened and under-socialized, but she is making progress. She is now tolerant of being handled and is slowly becoming more comfortable with human interaction. She is still shy and a little scared, and she is not showing affection just yet, but every small step is helping her learn that people can be safe and kind. What Echo needs most is someone patient and gentle who understands that she simply needs time, consistency, and positive experiences to build trust and learn that she is finally safe. With regular handling, reassurance, and daily socialization, Echo has the opportunity to continue gaining confidence and becoming more comfortable with the people around her. She may not be the kitten who immediately runs into your arms, but she is the kind of kitten who needs someone willing to earn her trust and show her what it feels like to be safe and loved. Echo's spay surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, 2026. This date is non-negotiable. An approved online adoption application is required before meeting Echo and before adoption.
