Description

Meet Olive Oyl.  She is a masterclass in psychological warfare and selective hearing. She operates on a strict 80/20 rule: 80% of the time, she’s a purring, head-butting angel who wants nothing more than to melt into your lap. The other 20%? Well, let's just say she’s a tiny, furry dictator who firmly believes her hooman in an insult to existance and your favorite sweater is a personal insult to her aesthetic. She doesn’t just "meow"—she gives performance reviews on your timing with the wet food and Temptation Lobster treats. Olive Oyl is a professional judge of character, a connoisseur of the "elevated side-eye," and a firm believer that if she can’t see you (because her eyes are closed), you officially don’t exist. She’s the queen of the house, and she’s only letting you stay here because you have functional thumbs. She is  looking for a home where she can be the only cat and get all your attention -- 80% of the time. Olive Oyl requires a special diet and is a shy girl that needs an adopter that would give her time to adjust and earn trust in her new home. If you’d like to meet Olive Oyl, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a meet with an approved adopter! You can also meet Olive Oyl at our weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to home where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
