Meet Ash & Charcoal — From Backyard Boys to Indoor Adventurers Ash and Charcoal are two handsome gray boys with a story that started outside, but is quickly turning into something much sweeter. These brothers were born outdoors and spent the first several weeks of their lives in someone’s backyard. Thankfully, a kind person made sure they were fed and watched over them until they were old enough to safely be separated from their mom. At around 7 weeks old, they were trapped and brought into our rescue. For kittens who spent their earliest days outside, these two have adjusted amazingly well. Ash and Charcoal are now living in a foster home and discovering all the wonderful things that indoor life has to offer — soft beds, toys, tunnels, people, and plenty of playtime. They are super friendly, playful, and curious , and they truly enjoy being around people. They are also being raised in a home with kids , so they are getting used to the everyday sounds, movement, and activity of family life. Because so much of indoor life is still new to them, they can sometimes get a little worried when they see or hear something they have never experienced before. A new household object, an unfamiliar sound, or something as simple as a different routine may make them stop and wonder, What is THAT? But the best part? They learn fast. Every day they are becoming more confident and realizing that indoor life is actually pretty awesome. They play, explore, investigate, and continue to blossom into happy, social little kittens. Ash and Charcoal have already come such a long way from two tiny backyard kittens trying to figure out the world. Now they are ready for the next step — a loving forever home where they can continue growing, playing, and discovering just how good life can be. Part of adopting a kitten is recognizing that they are babies, and you will get to see firsthand how their wonderful natures develop! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens under 5 months old must be adopted with a buddy or into a house where there's a kitten-friendly pet. This kitten is currently in a foster home.
