Description

Névé est un magnifique chat tout blanc de deux ans et demi, arrivé chez nous en février 2025 alors qu’il avait la bouche en très mauvais état. Il nous avait été confié par une gentille dame qui, ne pouvant malheureusement pas le garder, souhaitait lui donner une chance de trouver une nouvelle famille. Depuis son arrivée, Névé a fait énormément de progrès. Au début, il était très craintif et préférait se faire tout petit. On le retrouvait souvent bien caché derrière un autre minou ou confortablement dissimulé dans une cachette de l’arbre à chat. Mais derrière cette petite bouille inquiète se cache un chat qui a appris à faire confiance aux humains. Aujourd’hui, Névé est beaucoup plus à l’aise avec nous et on le trouve toujours dans les premiers sur le bord de la porte ou dans la fenêtre. On le retrouve maintenant de plus en plus souvent sur le plancher, aux côtés de ses congénères, à participer aux jeux et aux activités avec les bénévoles qui l’accompagnent dans sa socialisation. Difficile de ne pas tomber sous le charme de Névé! Ce gros minet tout doux est un véritable amour, sans la moindre malice. Toujours gentil et prêt à jouer, il a gardé son cœur de chaton malgré ses trois ans. On a parfois du mal à croire qu’il est déjà adulte tellement il est enjoué! Névé, c’est le genre de chat qui apporte de la douceur, de la bonne humeur… et beaucoup de moments de jeu à sa future famille. Il nous montre chaque jour qu’avec du temps, de la patience et beaucoup de douceur, même les chats les plus craintifs peuvent apprendre à faire confiance et à profiter pleinement de leur environnement. Névé pourrait tout à fait vivre dans un foyer avec d’autres amis félins. Toutefois, compte tenu de sa nervosité face aux bruits forts et soudains, nous pensons qu’un foyer sans jeunes enfants serait préférable pour lui, afin de lui offrir un environnement calme et rassurant où il pourra continuer à s’épanouir à son rythme.  Névé est également porteur du virus de l’immunodéficience féline (VIF). Être positif au VIF ne l’empêche absolument pas d’être un chat heureux, actif et affectueux. Avec de bons soins, une alimentation de qualité, un suivi vétérinaire régulier et un environnement sécuritaire et stimulant, les chats porteurs du VIF peuvent vivre encore de nombreuses belles années et profiter pleinement de leur quotidien. Une attention particulière portée à sa santé, à son alimentation, à ses soins dentaires et à sa stimulation contribuera à maintenir sa qualité de vie et son bien-être.  Névé est un chat adulte, dont les frais d'adoption sont de 310$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné, micropucé. Il est positif pour  le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF), mais négatif pour la leucose féline (FeLV). Bien que porteur du VIF, les risques de transmettre le virus à un autre chat sont minimes. He arrived in our care in February 2025 with his mouth in very poor condition. He had been entrusted to us by a kind woman who, unfortunately, could no longer keep him and wanted to give him the chance to find a new family. Since arriving, Névé has made tremendous progress. At first, he was very fearful and preferred to make himself as small as possible. We would often find him hiding behind another cat or tucked away in one of the cozy hiding spots in the cat tree. But behind that worried little face is a cat who has learned to trust people. Today, Névé is much more comfortable with us, and he is now often one of the first cats waiting by the door or sitting by the window. We also find him more and more often out on the floor, alongside his feline companions, taking part in games and activities with the volunteers who are helping him with his socialization. It’s hard not to fall in love with Névé! This big, gentle boy is an absolute sweetheart, without a mean bone in his body. Always kind and ready to play, he has kept his kitten-like heart despite being three years old. Sometimes it is hard to believe that he is already an adult because he is still so playful and full of energy! Névé is the kind of cat who will bring sweetness, happiness… and plenty of playful moments to his future family. Every day, he shows us that with time, patience and lots of gentleness, even the most fearful cats can learn to trust and truly enjoy their surroundings. Névé could absolutely live in a home with other feline friends. However, given his nervousness around loud and sudden noises, we feel that a home without young children would be preferable for him, so that he can enjoy a calm and reassuring environment where he can continue to flourish at his own pace.  Névé is also FIV-positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Being FIV-positive does not prevent him from being a happy, active and affectionate cat. With proper care, a high-quality diet, regular veterinary checkups, and a safe and stimulating environment, FIV-positive cats can live many more wonderful years and enjoy a fulfilling daily life. Paying close attention to his overall health, nutrition, dental care and mental stimulation will help maintain his quality of life and well-being.  Névé is an adult cat, and his adoption fee is $310$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped. He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Although he carries FIV, the risk of transmitting the virus to another cat is very low. He is in good health and can still live a long and happy life.
