I am a sweet girl that came to the shelter as a stray. I have heartworms and OCAS is treating me, they can tell you more about that if you are interested in me!In North Carolina, it's unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It's usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly. Despite being easily startled, she is very friendly and loves to lick your hands. She is so loving yet so gentle. Glenda doesn’t jump up, but she does little play bows when she gets excited.
