Description
Hi, Iâm Dr. Strangelove! I know, I know⦠I have quite the name! But once you get to know me, I think youâll find thereâs a lot more to me than my fancy name. When I first arrived at the shelter, I wasnât feeling my best. My little bum was severely matted and painfully urine-scalded, and I needed quite a bit of cleaning and care to get me comfortable and healthy again. I was a very good boy and tolerated all the handling I needed. I think I knew the humans were just trying to help me. Thankfully, those days are behind me, and now Iâm starting to show everyone my true personality!Iâm a very sweet boy who absolutely LOVES attention! In fact, when one of my favorite people comes to visit me, Iâll run right over to say hello and then flatten myself out so I can enjoy some much-deserved ear and head rubs. Iâm also extremely food motivated, so if you happen to have a tasty treat nearby, you may become my new best friend very quickly!I have a little bit of spunk in me, too. I enjoy exploring and especially love enrichment activities like dig boxes, stuffed tubes, and other fun things that keep me busy. Iâm also surprisingly confident! All the hustle and bustle and âfront desk shenanigansâ at the shelter donât seem to bother me much at all. Iâm pretty happy to go about my bunny business while the humans do their thing.Iâm also working hard on my litter box skills! Iâm still learning, but Iâve been making progress. Considering the conditions I came from, Iâm still figuring out what it means to have a clean, comfortable space of my own. With plenty of room to move around, two litter boxes, consistency, and a little patience, Iâm confident Iâll continue to improve. What Iâm really looking for is someone who will give me the time, attention, and love I deserve. Iâve already shown the humans here that Iâm a sweet, resilient, food-loving, attention-seeking little guyâand I have so much more personality waiting to come out!Iâve had a rough start, but Iâm ready for a fresh beginning. Could you be the person who gives me the happily ever after Iâve been waiting for?Love,Dr. StrangeloveThe advantages of adopting a rabbit Shelter rabbits are already spay/neutered and microchipped. Your rabbit will have less destructive and territorial behaviors as a result. Rabbits live for 8 to 10 years. Thatâs a lot of time to enjoy snuggles and funny tricks. An adopted rabbit may be already socialized to people or may need a little help from you. You join an active rabbit rescue community! There is a lot of support available to help you with any type of question you might have. How to prepare your home for your new rabbit A large play pen, bunny proofed room, or a large dog crate make great bunny housing. Once fully litter trained, some bunnies may have free run of their home! A typical daily rabbit diet is unlimited hay, good quality rabbit pellets, fresh greens, and plenty of clean water. Toys! Rabbits love to play. You should provide lots of bunny safe toys for play and chewing activities. Adoption Fee: $50.00Our bunnies are for indoors only. Adoption includes their neuter and microchip.
