She loves to play, explore, and investigate whatever is happening around her, but she's also perfectly happy enjoying some downtime once the fun is over. She's a happy young girl who is still discovering the world and learning all the things she needs to know to become a well-mannered adult.And while Kirby may be an adorable puppy right now, prospective families need to remember one very important detail:She's going to be BIG.Great Danes grow incredibly quickly, and that little puppy you bring home can become a 100+ pound dog before you know it. Everything that seems cute and manageable at Kirby's current size—jumping up, pulling on leash, stealing things from the counter, enthusiastic greetings—becomes a very different experience when there's a full-grown Great Dane behind it.That's why her training and socialization now are so important.Kirby Is Still a PuppyKirby's future family should be prepared for all the normal realities of raising a puppy. She will need:- Continued house training and a consistent potty schedule- Crate training and learning how to comfortably spend time alone- Basic obedience and leash training- Appropriate socialization and confidence building- Plenty of safe, appropriate things to chew- Consistent boundaries and routines- Daily mental stimulation and age-appropriate exercise- Patience through puppy behaviors, mistakes, and growing pains- Continued training as she grows into a very large adultGreat Dane puppies also grow at an extraordinary rate, so appropriate nutrition and age-appropriate exercise are particularly important while their bones and joints are developing.Kirby's Perfect FamilyKirby would love a family who understands that adopting a puppy means committing not only to the adorable little girl she is today, but also to the giant dog she's going to become.She needs people who will make training part of everyday life, continue building her confidence, and give her the structure she needs while still allowing her to enjoy being a silly, playful puppy.In return, you'll get to watch her grow from a curious little pup into the wonderfully goofy, affectionate giant Great Danes are famous for being.Kirby is easygoing.
