Description
Oz is living proof that even after the worst beginning, a heart can remain completely open.He and his brother, Giles, were found locked inside a carrier that had been dumped behind an abandoned trailer during the dead heat of summer. Four kittens had been left without food or water, and no one knows how long they had been there. Tragically, two of their littermates had already passed when we found them. Oz and Giles were alive, but dangerously thin and in poor health.Oz was so sick that he had to spend several nights in the hospital. Even at his weakest, he remained incredibly loving. Whenever someone picked him up, he would wrap his little arms around their neck as if he simply wanted to hold on and be close. He seemed to understand that he had finally been found—and that he was safe.Today, Oz is healthy, affectionate, and ready for every new adventure. He is full of life and gets along with everyone he meets, with other cats, and even became best friends with his foster mom’s big black Lab puppy. He also has a rather unusual opinion of the vacuum: while most cats run away, Oz is convinced it means playtime! He loves running, playing, cuddling, Churus, kitty treats, ALL the cat toys, and lots of kisses. Oz and Giles helped each other find the strength to keep fighting. Since being reunited after Oz’s hospitalization, they have followed each other everywhere. They are survivors—together—and they are a bonded pair who must be adopted into the same forever home.Oz has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. He and Giles are currently available for a meet-and-greet at the Whisker Station Cat Cafe and Lounge in Kirkwood, Missouri.
