Forever Home Wanted: Meet Emma! Emma’s story is one of survival, strength, and an incredible love for her puppies. Emma was found as a stray in a field after being attacked by another dog. By the time she arrived at the emergency hospital, she had suffered significant injuries and severe blood loss. The trauma to one of her eyes was so extensive that her eye had to be surgically removed. Just two days after arriving and undergoing surgery, Emma delivered eight beautiful babies — all healthy, thriving, and ready to start the next chapter of their lives. But Emma still had so much to overcome. She was severely emaciated, dehydrated, severely anemic, covered in ticks, mud, and dried blood. She remained hospitalized for several days while the incredible veterinary staff worked to stabilize her and keep both Emma and her newborn puppies healthy. They did an amazing job caring for this brave mama. Today, Emma’s puppies are turning 8 weeks old. Soon, each of her babies will be posted for adoption and heading off to their own forever families. Now it’s Emma’s turn. After everything she has endured, we would love nothing more than to see this amazing mama find a loving forever home of her own. Emma has already shown us that she has a playful, loving side. She does well with small dogs, lights up when she sees them, and loves to play with them. She lost an eye, but she never lost her spirit. Emma deserves a family who will show her that her hardest days are behind her and that the rest of her life can be filled with love, comfort, and happiness.
