Description

GARNET - OUR HIDDEN GEM Garnet is truly a hidden gem who keeps getting overlooked, and we just don't understand why. This handsome 4-year-old, 103-pound Cane Corso is the definition of a sweet, gentle giant. After spending three months at the shelter, Garnet recently surprised us by revealing something we didn't expect. We thought he was a homebody with no interest in exploring the world beyond his kennel. But it turns out he likes going for walks and adventures! Maybe it's the cooler weather...Garnet does pull a little on the leash, but it's manageable and will surely improve with more walks (now that he's going on them!).We imagine his ideal day would involve a leisurely walk in comfortable weather, followed by a nice long nap on a cozy couch with his favorite person. From what we have observed at the shelter, Garnet seems fine around other dogs. As with any new dog relationship, slow, thoughtful introductions would still be important.Sometimes the most beautiful gems take a little time to reveal their sparkle. Come meet our hidden gem and give him the loving home he deserves! See some of his cute expressions below.Make an appointment at yoloshelter.org/dogs, or email adopt@yoloshelter.org.
