Hello. My name is Lass. Apparently I'm supposed to be writing an adoption post because I've been in rescue so long that the volunteers have started giving me side-eye every time they pay my food bill. A few things about me: ❌ I do not like other cats. ❌ I do not believe every stranger deserves immediate access to my affection. ❌ I am not interested in fake friendships, pyramid schemes, or whatever nonsense the other cats are selling. ✅ I do like dogs. ✅ I do like toys. ✅ I do like carrying said toys around the house while singing the song of my people. People keep meeting me and saying, "She's a little spicy." First of all, rude. Second of all, I prefer the term "emotionally seasoned." Here's the thing: I'm not one of those cats who's going to throw herself into your arms on Day One. Trust is earned. References may be checked. Background investigations WILL be conducted. But once I've decided you're my person? Game over. You'll have a tiny furry supervisor following you around the house making sure you're doing everything correctly. Going to the bathroom? I'll monitor the situation. Watching TV? I'll inspect your viewing choices. Having a bad day? I'll quietly show up and pretend I wasn't worried about you. I've spent years watching other cats come and go while I keep waiting for someone who understands that the best relationships take time.
