Meet Astrid! Astrid is a 6-week-old female kitten who was surrendered to Rockwall Adoptions along with her sibling and their mom after the little family was discovered living underneath a neighbor's back porch. Astrid had a very uncertain start to life and is currently very scared and under-socialized. She is going to need more patience and reassurance as she learns to feel comfortable around people, but at only 6 weeks old, she is still very young and has plenty of time to build confidence and learn that human interaction can be safe and positive. Astrid will need an adopter who understands that trust may not come immediately and who is willing to work with her through gentle, consistent handling, daily socialization, and plenty of patience. She may be more hesitant than some kittens at first, but with time, routine, and a calm environment, Astrid has every opportunity to continue making progress and grow into a more confident, comfortable companion. Astrid's spay surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2026. This date is non-negotiable. An approved online adoption application is required before meeting Astrid and before adoption.
